I recently had these results given me thru email. I don t quite understand what the numbers mean. Do I have Hashimoto s or Grave s, or just a precursor to either disease? Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody is 67.2 Higher Than Normal IU/mL (0.0-5.5) Thyroxine Free is 0.92 Lower Than Normal ng/dL (0.93-1.70) Thyrotropin is 3.74 mcIU/mL (0.27-4.20)
thyroid peroxidase antibody test is done to rule out for autoimmune diseases like graves disease , hashimoto thyroiditis. its range from 50 to 80 indicate graves disease. having thyrotropin normal levels and low free thyroxine level suggest hypothyroidism which can be due to effects of few drugs, sick euthyroid syndrme.
